About me

Iโ€™m Nicola and I am passionate about plants and the natural world. After studying a Level 1 (City & Guilds) gardening qualification in Walthamstow’s Lloyd Park, I decided to take the plunge and become a professional gardener; passing my Level 2 (City & Guilds) gardening qualification with Capel Manor in Regents Park. Now, I am delighted to help people better understand and enjoy their gardens and I enjoy sharing my gardening knowledge with my clients.

Gardening Jobs for April

Now is a good time to get the supports in for any perennials which tend to flop later in the year. That way, the supports can guide the plant growth and will also be camouflaged once the plant is larger.

Cut back Lavender, Santolina and Helichrysum for a bushier growth and to keep their size in check. Donโ€™t cut back to old hard wood as it may not survive.

Move evergreen shrubs now – water well beforehand, donโ€™t move on very hot days and bear in mind that the older the plant the less likely it is that it will survive the move.
